I've been using the IHMC's Cmap concept mapping freeware since a fellow student recommended it last semester. See my fascinating "zipper" concept map below. It is a slick application for tossing together a concept map. A bit less nimble than the web based diagramming application Gliffy (also good), but it includes some nice bells and whistles such as the ability to link to web sites and files along the route of the concept map. There is also a presentation builder that I have not tried, but it makes me wonder – how different is Cmap from the $69 Inspiration? Anyone compared the two? I can't find a comparison from Google, but they seem to accomplish similar tasks.
