I took a closer look today at two resources from the Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP) Key for Access website:
- The first is The Description Key – recommendations, suggestions, and best practices for “verbal depiction of key visual elements in a television program, video, DVD, or other multimedia presentation”
- The second is The Captioning Key – recommendations, suggestions, and best practices for converting the audio content into text.
These sites get deeeep into the weeds on description and captioning, but they also provide a great overview for those dipping a toe into designing for accessibility. Good stuff!
